We are hiring a Senior Digital Integration Solutions Field Engineer. In this role, you’ll work directly with customers on-site, playing a hands-on role in delivering advanced power automation solutions. This position offers the opportunity to travel approximately 75% of the time. This role can be based in Colorado Springs, CO, Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, or Cheyenne, WY. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. This role also offers paid overtime (premium pay) and a company vehicle. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or in lieu of a degree at least 5 years of experience working with/managing installations of Power Management, Power Control, Scada, Mission Critical, or Building Management systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Power Management, Power Control, Mission Critical, or Building Management systems.
  • This role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.
  • All candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius of one of the locations listed on the job posting. No relocation is being offered for this role. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Maintain compliance with Eaton safety programs, including applicable EESS Qualified Electrical Worker requirements, recertifications, and advanced safety practices for automation, networking, and power management work.
  • Meet customer-site access requirements, including periodic background checks and drug screenings, while maintaining a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Work variable hours, including nights and weekends, and travel across the district, state, region, or country to support complex customer and project requirements.
  • Demonstrate advanced PLC programming experience for Power Control, Generator Control, SCADA, and related automation applications in complex field environments.
  • Apply extensive commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, testing, repair, diagnostic instrumentation, and root-cause analysis experience to resolve complex power management and automation issues.
  • Use advanced technical knowledge of HMI software, power monitoring platforms, industrial automation systems, SCADA applications, power quality meters, trip units, protective relays, UPS systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate advanced networking and communication protocol skills, including Ethernet, fiber-optic networks, VLANs, redundancy architectures, mesh networking, Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP, and network troubleshooting.
  • Bring advanced knowledge of Eaton and competitor automation, monitoring, networking, SCADA, cybersecurity, power management systems, DIS software platforms, and complex system integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior technical resource for on-site implementation, startup, commissioning, configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and support of power management, automation, SCADA, HMI, networking, and mission-critical control systems.
  • Provide advanced engineering consultation and technical expertise to customers across system integration, installation, maintenance, modification, training, and lifecycle support activities.
  • Act as a senior technical escalation point and subject matter expert for DIS platforms, industrial networking, SCADA systems, power management applications, and integrated customer solutions.
  • Execute complex, multi-site, enterprise, and mission-critical integration projects with limited supervision while ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Mentor and develop Field Service Engineers, Field Service Representatives, Customer Service Engineers, and other technical personnel through coaching, training, job shadowing, and knowledge sharing.
  • Build trusted customer and stakeholder relationships while supporting sales through technical consultation, solution development, proposal input, quotations, and application recommendations.
  • Collaborate with field, engineering, software, sales, and service teams to drive customer satisfaction, project success, standardization, continuous improvement, and senior-level technical best practices.
  • Model Eaton’s safety culture, maintain accurate service and business documentation, and support performance outcomes tied to utilization, retention, growth, profitability, safety, and service quality.
