About The Position

As a Senior Digital Architect within Global Parts Pricing (GPP), you will serve as a key technical resource supporting the design, development, and implementation of analytics, automation, data, and AI-enabled solutions. This role will help execute the Global Parts Pricing technology roadmap by translating business needs into scalable technical solutions that drive pricing strategy and business outcomes. You will partner closely with the Lead Solutions Architect, business leaders, Caterpillar IT, analytics teams, and technical stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, develop solution recommendations, and support the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with a practical understanding of enterprise architecture, modern analytics platforms, cloud technologies, automation, and Artificial Intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, technically curious, and comfortable working across business and technical teams to solve complex challenges and deliver measurable business value.

Requirements

  • Technical Architecture Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics, data, application, or platform solutions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical designs and solution recommendations.
  • Understanding of application architecture, data architecture, system integrations, and cloud-based technologies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and solution delivery methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of analytics platforms, data architecture, machine learning concepts, and Generative AI technologies.
  • Understanding of data integration, ETL processes, APIs, and modern cloud-based data ecosystems.
  • Experience supporting analytics and AI-enabled business solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with: Python, SQL, Snowflake, AWS
  • Experience working with: Cloud-native technologies, Data platforms and analytics ecosystems, APIs and systems integrations, Automation and workflow tools
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to present technical recommendations in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of the Global Parts Pricing technology roadmap.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and architecture recommendations.
  • Collaborate with business partners and Caterpillar IT to evaluate technology options supporting current and future business needs.
  • Assist in designing data, analytics, application, automation, and integration solutions.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and provide recommendations supporting enterprise standards.
  • Develop technical documentation, solution designs, integration strategies, and implementation recommendations.
  • Design and support analytics, reporting, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Develop Proofs of Concept to evaluate emerging technologies and innovative approaches.
  • Support the integration of machine learning, Generative AI, and advanced analytics capabilities into business processes.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to improve data accessibility, reporting, and decision support capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation and AI to improve business efficiency and customer value.
  • Partner with delivery teams to support solution implementation and successful project execution.
  • Provide technical guidance during development, testing, deployment, and support activities.
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
  • Assist with troubleshooting complex technical challenges across applications, integrations, and analytics platforms.
  • Promote architecture best practices, security standards, and governance requirements.
  • Partner with Global Parts Pricing business leaders, Caterpillar IT, analytics teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate discussions that align business priorities with technical capabilities.
  • Support strategic business initiatives through architecture recommendations and technical leadership.
