About The Position

The advanced practice dietitian is recognized as having mastered the highest degree of skill and knowledge in an area of clinical focus. Functions as the Nutritional Therapy department's expert in an area of focus and mentors peers to share knowledge while demonstrating personal and organizational leadership. Responsible for providing comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to acute care patients while upholding Providence's mission and core values. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and/or Dietetics or related field preferred
• ACEND-accredited supervised practice program at a health-care facility, community agency, or a food service corporation or combined with undergraduate or graduate studies
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Dietitian Certification, Or Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Dietitian Temporary Practice Permit, or Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: Washington Nutritionist Certification
• Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration
• Upon hire: One (1) Certification from one of the following: CNSC, CSR, CSO, CSPCC, CSSD, CSOWM, CSG, CSPN, CDCES, BC-ADM, CLC, ALC, ALPP, CHES, MCHES, IBCLC, CEDS, CSDH or RD-AP.
• 4 years recent professional experience in clinical nutrition in an acute care setting.
