We need a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with on-prem and cloud expertise to support efforts to manage our new infrastructure platform. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with CI poly (or willingness to obtain a CI poly).
  • Bachelor’s degree with 14 years of total professional experience in a technical support role (additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree).
  • Demonstrated technical experience with DevSecOps and strong Linux experience.
  • Open source and custom application deployments and maintenance experience.
  • Capable of working effectively with a geographically distributed ops & development team
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team in written and oral forums
  • Willingness to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment in either Herndon, VA; Westminster, CO; or St. Louis, MO.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with: Hardware and software sustainment with IC and DoD networks.
  • Experience with: Distributed processing methods and tools, such as REST APIs, microservices, IaaS/PaaS services.
  • Experience with: Developing and deploying web services
  • Experience with: Working with open-source resources in a government computing environment
  • Experience with: Maintaining backend GIS technologies
  • Experience with: ICD 503
  • Experience with: Big data technologies such as ElasticSearch, Accumulo, Spark, Hive, or Hadoop
  • Familiarity with: Hybrid cloud/on-prem architecture, RedHat, AWS, C2S, and OpenShift.
  • Familiarity with: Concepts such as Data visualization; Data management, Data integration, User Interfaces, Databases
  • CompTIA Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access.
  • Experience in/or supporting military/intelligence or knowledge of some TCPED systems is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Leverage OpenShift and Kubernetes to configure, monitor, and maintain this private cloud environment
  • Create and maintain automated, repeatable environment creation and configuration (Infrastructure as Code) scripts using ansible, chef, or similar tools
  • Create and maintain automated DevSecOps pipelines using leading open-source offerings, including ArgoCD, GitLab, SonarQube, Cucumber, JMeter, and Cypress.io
  • Monitor, Predict, Update, and Resolve issues at all levels, from bare-metal operating systems to deployed applications
  • Oversee and manage compliance to ATO accreditation needs with tuning, patching or documentation.
  • Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.
