About The Position

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will contribute to improving our IT solution delivery by participating in the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our tools and platforms. You will also be involved in transitioning solutions to operations teams, facilitating knowledge transfer, and helping strengthen the expertise of your peers.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in Information Technology, or any other relevant field of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development and systems administration
  • Strong knowledge of DevSecOps culture, practices, and tools.
  • Proficiency with SAST, DAST, code quality, and observability tools (Trivy, SonarQube, Snyk, Dependabot, Mend, Datadog).
  • Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and Configuration as Code (Ansible, DSC).
  • Microsoft certification relevant to the role is required (specific certification to be determined based on position requirements).
  • Ability to develop scripts using Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
  • Experience with Azure-native, virtualized, and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Virtual Machines, Helm Charts, Redis, RabbitMQ, Istio).
  • Experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, Argo CD).
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows Server and Ubuntu Linux.
  • Solid understanding of database systems (Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and NoSQL databases).
  • Excellent French and English skills, both spoken and written, are essential

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating AI skills using GitHub Copilot or similar platforms to automate recurring tasks within an internal development platform environment is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with development, architecture, operations, and security teams to design reliable, secure, and automated solutions that meet business needs.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the development process and proposing strategies to implement those improvements.
  • Promoting and fostering a culture of observability.
  • Maintaining, standardizing, and enhancing the organization’s continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, as well as its GitOps practices.
  • Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) solutions to enable automated and repeatable management of technology environments.
  • Assessing, designing, and supporting shared technology services required by delivery teams, such as container platforms, messaging systems, databases, integration solutions, and cloud services.
  • Implementing self-service capabilities and reusable templates that enable teams to deliver IT resources, components, and services more quickly while adhering to organizational standards.
  • Leveraging artificial intelligence technologies to identify, develop, and deploy automations, assistants, agents, or reusable skills aimed at reducing manual work and improving operational efficiency.
  • Performing any other related duties as required based on the evolution of the role and the needs of the department.
  • Carry out all other related tasks per the job’s evolution and departmental needs.
