We don't just "run operations". We engineer the mechanisms that create software for our vehicles. Requirements

  • 1+ years of industry experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab-CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Experience with and Infrastructure-as-Code tooling such as Terraform, Helm, and Ansible.
  • 1+ years of experience with build tools like Bazel, GNU Make, Cmake, Gradle.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, Bash or similar languages.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Proficient with Observability platforms and tooling (DataDog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, ELK Stack)
  • You believe that "Operations" is an engineering problem.
  • You are passionate about Developer Experience.
  • A desire to learn the unique challenges of delivering software to hardware/vehicles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and fault-tolerant CI/CD pipelines for software delivery and deployment.
  • Champion the integrity of the build system.
  • Analyze requirements and help onboard new components and software stacks.
  • Integrate third-party and open-source software in the build system.
  • Identify requirements and develop tools to enhance developer productivity in the build environment.
  • Collaborate closely with development and quality assurance teams to ensure efficient release management and development processes.
  • Work with other cross-functional teams and convert business requirements into engineering requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system and application performance, ensuring high availability and reliability of production systems.
  • Implement and manage containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to enable scalable and portable deployments.
  • Bridge the gap between software development and vehicle deployment, ensuring that our software build automation is as high-tech as the product we build.
