About The Position

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing, operating, and scaling cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on Kubernetes and AWS. You will be responsible for implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing observability tools, and ensuring the security and reliability of our platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DevOps practices, a deep understanding of cloud technologies, and excellent problem-solving skills. This is a remote-friendly position that requires the ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, or related roles.
  • Proven track record in designing and operating scalable cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise with AWS services (EC2, S3, EKS, ECR, Route 53, IAM, core networking and security concepts).
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Kubernetes (cluster operations, upgrades, autoscaling, networking, ingress, RBAC, policy enforcement, production workload management).
  • Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code, environment management, and repeatable platform provisioning.
  • Experience with Kubernetes packaging and deployment tools (Helm, Kustomize).
  • Experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab CI/CD) and GitOps approaches (Argo CD, Flux).
  • Strong experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
  • Experience evaluating or operating Kubernetes ecosystem tools (ingress controllers, operators, Cluster Autoscaler, Karpenter).
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL/RDS (performance tuning, reliability, operational support).
  • Solid understanding of cloud and container security practices (IAM least privilege, secrets management, image scanning, admission controls, policy enforcement).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Practical fluency with AI-assisted engineering tools (LLMs, code assistants, workflow automation tools) and strong judgment to evaluate and refine AI-generated outputs responsibly.
  • Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote-friendly environment and make sound technical decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or related platform technologies.
  • Experience with additional cloud platforms such as GCP or Azure.
  • Experience improving incident response, operational readiness, and platform standards for distributed engineering teams.
  • Experience designing internal platform capabilities that improve developer self-service and reduce operational toil.
  • Familiarity with compliance, governance, and risk management requirements in regulated or enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes clusters, including operations, upgrades, and autoscaling.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and GitOps approaches.
  • Implement and manage observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki).
  • Evaluate and operate Kubernetes ecosystem tools.
  • Provide operational support and performance tuning for PostgreSQL/RDS.
  • Implement and enforce cloud and container security best practices.
  • Develop automation scripts in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
