About The Position

In this role, you will partner closely with Software Engineering, Cloud Operations, Architecture, Security, and Product teams to build, support, and operate secure, reliable, and scalable cloud products across a diverse portfolio of applications and services. The position is highly hands-on while also providing technical leadership across multiple teams. Responsibilities span cloud operations, infrastructure automation, observability, reliability engineering, and operational excellence, combining software engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and cloud platform support in Azure/AWS environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable troubleshooting production issues, building Infrastructure as Code solutions, automating operational processes, implementing observability platforms, and partnering with development teams to improve reliability, security, and engineering efficiency. The role also applies AI-assisted practices across the software lifecycle and evaluates technologies that can improve reliability, engineering efficiency, and service quality.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years of software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, cloud engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience.
  • Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure/AWS cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Pulumi, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar platforms.
  • Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security controls, secrets management, and infrastructure governance practices.
  • Experience implementing and supporting observability platforms, including monitoring, logging, dashboarding, runbooks, and alerting solutions.
  • Experience with Dynatrace or comparable enterprise application performance monitoring and observability platforms.
  • Experience troubleshooting production systems and participating in incident management and operational support processes.
  • Experience developing automation solutions using scripting or programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Harness, JFrog, or similar delivery and artifact-management tools.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments and supporting multiple engineering teams simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, security, and business teams.
  • Experience with cloud-cost management, resource sizing, capacity planning, autoscaling, workload optimization, and FinOps.
  • Experience implementing AI-native software development or AI-enabled engineering operating models.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, API-driven systems, and cloud-native application patterns.
  • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles, operational excellence frameworks, and service ownership practices.
  • Azure/AWS certifications, DevOps certifications, or equivalent industry certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a shared engineering resource supporting multiple software development teams across the organization.
  • Partner with Engineering, Cloud Operations, Security, and Architecture teams to establish and maintain cloud infrastructure standards, operational practices, and platform capabilities.
  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code technologies, including Pulumi.
  • Build and maintain reusable infrastructure templates, deployment patterns, automation frameworks, and platform services that improve developer productivity and operational consistency.
  • Support AWS cloud environments, including networking, security, identity and access management (IAM), monitoring, and operational governance.
  • Provide operational support and troubleshooting for cloud environments, deployment pipelines, infrastructure components, and production services.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex infrastructure, deployment, and operational issues requiring elevated cloud permissions and platform expertise.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation processes to support efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Configure and support observability solutions, including application performance monitoring, centralized logging, dashboards, alerting, and operational reporting.
  • Implement and maintain Dynatrace monitoring, dashboards, alerting configurations, and operational visibility standards across applications and services.
  • Participate in incident response activities, root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain operational runbooks, support documentation, platform standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Identify and remediate technical debt, infrastructure risks, operational gaps, and recurring reliability issues.
  • Collaborate with Security teams to support vulnerability remediation, compliance initiatives, access governance, and secure cloud operations.
  • Assist engineering teams with production readiness reviews, deployment planning, infrastructure design, and operational maturity initiatives.
  • Promote Site Reliability Engineering practices, operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement across engineering teams.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud, automation, AI-enabled, and operational technologies that improve platform reliability, engineering efficiency, and service quality.
  • Mentor software engineers on cloud technologies, observability, infrastructure automation, operational best practices, and deployment strategies.
  • Apply AI-assisted practices across the software lifecycle, including design, development, testing, code review, deployment, monitoring, incident response, remediation, and continuous improvement.
