About The Position

Peraton is hiring a Senior Development Support Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction, MD. As a Systems Engineer (SE) on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at a customer location. As a Development Support Systems Engineer on our team, you will support a customer Program Management Office (PMO) overseeing a large multi-organizational software development project. You will provide General Systems engineering support including requirements definition, documentation, and integration support in the oversight of this ongoing development effort as well as providing support to the testing team validating the development work. You may also manage other systems engineers, as assigned.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 20 years of systems engineering experience. A Master’s or PhD Degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Note: A High School Diploma or GED plus 24 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
• Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Position requires that the candidate’s last polygraph is <10 years old.
• Experience configuring and developing tests for automated testing in a DevOps platform and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in applying systems engineering and integration support to a large Agile/DevOps environment.
• Knowledge of SE Best practices and innovative approaches to applying those practices in a fast-paced ongoing software development environment.
• Test automation and scripting skills (testlink would be a bonus).
• Investigate, prevent, assess, and mitigate threats to info Platform as a Service (PaaS) systems, infrastructures and information.
• Identify and select testing products, tools, services, and components.
• Validate testing and quality assurance IT systems.
• Develop test strategies to address vulnerabilities of networks, products, & services.
• Perform high level testing of system & component performance & interface requirements
• Plan, document, & execute developmental & operational testing activities.
• Supporting creation or modification of test documentation to include test and evaluation master plans (TEMPs), test plans and procedures, & test reports.
• Supporting test readiness review (TRR) presentations and emerging results briefings.
• Develop system tests to evaluate compliance with both functional and system-level requirements.
• Reviewing and providing feedback on the functionality, applicability, and supportability of technical test products/deliverables.
• Solid application of SE throughout the lifecycle of a development effort.
• Experience configuring and developing tests for automated testing on DevOps projects of similar size and scope.
• Experience with GitLab, to include CI/CD pipelines and GitLab-runner.
• Knowledge and experience with containerization and DevOps platforms (Kubernetes preferred).
• Experience representing a team in meeting and preparing for release planning and issue mitigation
