The Sr. Associate Director of Development is responsible for securing major gifts to support Johns Hopkins University and its divisions or departments. The Sr. Associate Director of Development will manage the full life cycle of their portfolio of ($1M+), high potential prospects and donors, implementing strategic fundraising plans, and working collaboratively with university leadership, faculty, staff, and colleagues to achieve fundraising goals. The Sr. Associate Director will focus on securing gifts of $100,000 and above. This position requires travel and meetings on and off campus during regular and non-traditional business hours and is expected to operate with high levels of autonomy. The Sr. Associate Director of Development will report to the Sr. Director of Development for the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center (SKCCC) and will work with all members of the team to achieve fundraising goals for the SKCCC. The Sr. Associate Director will be responsible for the identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of prospects and donors including: grateful patients, families, unaffiliated constituents, foundations and corporations. This position will manage all fundraising activities for Patient and Family Services, Neuro-Oncology, Hematology, and other Departmental programs as assigned.
