About The Position

Maricopa County is seeking a Senior Developer to provide advanced technical development, translate architectural designs into implementation, and support enterprise application development. This role involves hands-on full-stack development, mentoring junior developers, and supporting modernization of legacy systems in an Agile environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of .NET full stack development experience
  • Minimum 3+ years in software design, development, or support
  • Strong experience with: C#, ASP.NET MVC, ASP.NET Core, Web API
  • Angular (v8+), TypeScript, AngularJS migration
  • SQL Server (stored procedures, performance tuning)
  • Experience with: Docker containerization and Kubernetes (or similar platforms)
  • Microservices architecture and design patterns (SOLID, DI, Repository, Unit of Work)
  • REST APIs, middleware, and enterprise integration patterns
  • Experience with SSRS and Power BI reporting
  • Hands-on experience with Git or TFVC for source control
  • Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in government, judicial, or public-sector systems
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows
  • Experience with SignalR, IBM MQ, and real-time messaging systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications
  • Translate architectural designs into technical implementations
  • Develop SSRS and Power BI reports
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
  • Support application deployment and production maintenance
  • Collaborate with developers, DBAs, and business analysts
  • Mentor junior developers and guide them through complex implementations
  • Participate in code reviews and best practice enforcement
  • Modernize legacy systems (AngularJS → Angular, .NET Framework → .NET Core)
  • Assist in integrating systems using APIs, messaging systems (IBM MQ), and SignalR
