About The Position

We create modern, high-impact web experiences across Windows, Surface, and Copilot where storytelling, interaction, and design craft come together to move people from curiosity to action. We’re looking for a Senior Designer to lead the visual and interactive expression of these experiences. This is a senior individual contributor role for someone who can move seamlessly from concept to execution by combining design sensibility with front-end fluency. You’ll define and build elegant, performant experiences across the customer journey and bring together systems thinking, motion, and modern web technologies. You’re hands-on, detail-obsessed, and comfortable working at the intersection of design and engineering. Requirements

Master's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 4+ years experience designing and shipping interactive web experiences for leading consumer or product brands OR Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 5+ years experience designing and shipping interactive web experiences for leading consumer or product brands OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience designing and shipping interactive web experiences for leading consumer or product brands).
4+ years experience shipping products, services, or games and/or delivering to customers as a result of an end-to-end design process.
The ability to provide a portfolio of relevant work for review.

Nice To Haves

Experience in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks such as React or Next.js
Experience with accessibility standards aligned to WCAG 2.2 AA
Experience in Figma and component-based design systems.
Experience defining responsive behaviors and create clear, scalable specifications
Experience working with headless content management system (CMS) platforms and modern web stacks
Experience contributing to or evolving large-scale design systems
Experience using AI tools to accelerate concepting and production while maintaining quality and brand standards

Responsibilities

Lead concepting and design for full websites, campaign experiences, and key interactive moments.
Create work that is clear, expressive, and grounded in the customer journey.
Translate design intent into production-ready experiences using modern web technologies (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Build prototypes and partner closely with engineering to ensure the final output matches the vision.
Define interaction models, transitions, and micro-interactions that feel intentional, responsive, and refined across devices.
Create wireframes, high-fidelity designs, motion studies, and coded prototypes to align teams, test ideas, and resolve complexity early.
Design and build with performance in mind. Optimize for speed, responsiveness, and strong Core Web Vitals without compromising design integrity.
Ensure experiences meet WCAG 2.2 AA standards, with thoughtful consideration for color, typography, motion, and interaction patterns.
Use research and analytics to inform decisions. Form hypotheses, test ideas, and refine experiences based on real user behavior.
Work closely with creative leads, writers, engineers, search engine optimization (SEO), and business partners to align on direction and deliver cohesive, high-quality experiences.
