About The Position

Expedia Group’s Creative Lab is seeking a digitally fluent, design-obsessed Senior Designer with a performance mindset to join our Digital Creative team. As a Senior Designer, Performance, you’ll help shape and deliver scaled, always-on content across a variety of digital touchpoints—from programmatic display to paid social and app store assets. You’ll be part of a high-velocity team supporting Growth, collaborating with social creatives, creative managers, and external agencies to translate briefs into compelling executions that align with our brands and drive results.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of digital design experience (vs strictly performance marketing focus), preferably in-house
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating digital-first, channel-native work (not limited to lower-funnel performance)
  • Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite; working knowledge of animation/motion tools (After Effects a plus), Google Web Designer, Animate, and coding (HTML5/CSS/JS)
  • Understanding of platform best practices across channels (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, display), even if not exclusively performance-focused
  • Ability to work fluidly in fast-paced, high-volume production environments
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative spirit
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted creative tools (e.g., generative design, automation, or AI-driven content creation) is required
  • Digital-first design experience with strong craft and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working across both concept and execution, from idea to scaled production
  • Curiosity and openness to using data and signals to inform creative decisions (even if not deeply performance-driven yet)
  • This person needs to be comfortable pushing back and advocating for strong creative solutions
  • Ability to execute initial concepts and partner with agencies to scale production

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into thumb-stopping, channel-native design across programmatic display, paid and organic social, paid app, and app store optimization
  • Balance quality, scale, brand, and performance in all creative output
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agency partners—including brand design experts, creative strategists, producers, and campaign managers—to influence creative outcomes
  • Conceive, optimize, and design digital assets using data, insights, and brand strategy
  • Build tech-enabled systems and workflows to support volume, optimization, and fast-turn content production
  • Maintain consistency with creative guidelines while evolving them through digital design best practices
  • Contribute to a new agile creative model focused on test-and-learn, flexibility, responsiveness, and collaboration
  • Develop proof-of-concept creative and scalable design systems that can be handed off to agency partners for production
