About The Position

The client is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to be responsible for the development and sustainment of Flight Control Computers (FCCs), Actuator Control Units (ACUs), and Motor Control Electronics (MCEs) for primary and secondary control systems for commercial client. As a Senior Design Engineer - Electronics, you will develop, qualify and transition to market best in class aviation electronics flight hardware. You will guide the evolution of the conceptual and detailed design phases through verification and certification, and implement electronic hardware designs that comply with allocated electronics requirements. You will design circuits, components, and systems that meet customer specific application needs, and create design artifacts (trade studies, simulations, analyses, test data, etc.) to support compliance to requirements. You will utilize CAD software to create detailed schematics, layouts, and simulation models for electrical designs, and conduct analyses using software tools to characterize circuit performance and identify possible issues prior to hardware realization. You will perform prototype hardware testing to ensure compliance to specifications and industry standards, and participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews. You will conduct hardware and software level integration and test including any performance anomaly investigations, and identify and resolve technical issues that may arise during design, development, and manufacturing process. You will create detailed Verification and Validation plans and procedures for the testing of electronic boxes, and investigate and create new test methods and approaches. You will support various aspects of technical project planning, including designs, proposals, cost estimates, schedules and technical interface meetings throughout the program lifecycle. You will create concise reports that document design decisions and analysis results, and ensure integrity and conformance of the hardware design. You will represent client in a manner consistent with its leading-edge technical reputation and support programs with some travel (5-10%) and the participation in presentation to customers.
