About The Position
As the Senior Demand Planner, you will be responsible for forecasting product demand for a key customer team. Leveraging input from Retail, Marketing, and Analytics, you will be a critical part of our Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring forecast accuracy and alignment across the business.
Requirements
- A degree in business, supply chain, finance, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain operations, preferably in consumer products.
- Experience with and exposure to S&OP processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in forecasting or supply planning applications (e.g., SAP, APO, IBP) is required.
Responsibilities
- Lead Demand Debrief reviews with cross-functional teams to deliver an unbiased, unconstrained view of demand for the global S&OP process.
- Identify and frame risks, opportunities, and critical business decisions, escalating as needed through the S&OP process.
- Analyze weekly retail sales (POS) and inventory levels, providing recommendations to optimize sales and inventory.
- Use POS and inventory data to proactively minimize internal supply chain liabilities.
- Maintain and leverage ladder plans to ensure forecasts align with account plans and retail performance.
- Evaluate and measure forecast accuracy and bias, driving corrective actions to improve results.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the forecasting process.
