About The Position

The Senior Demand Planner owns the finished goods demand forecast at Harvey Performance Company. This is a newly created role with a clear mandate: build a real demand planning function where one doesn't yet exist, and serve as the primary demand signal for purchasing and production planning across the business. The role sits within a small planning team and partners closely with Sales, Finance, and Operations. Rowley, MA preferred with one day per week onsite. Remote across New England considered.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on demand planning or forecasting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Item-level forecasting experience at meaningful scale (75,000+ SKUs preferred).
  • Working knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and how to choose between them based on demand patterns.
  • Advanced Excel and comfort working in data-heavy planning environments.
  • ERP experience (Epicor Prophet 21, SAP, or Global Shop preferred, but any ERP works).

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with a modern demand planning system (Kinaxis, o9, Logility, Blue Yonder, OMP, SAP IBP, RELEX, ToolsGroup, or similar).
  • SQL fluency for partnering directly with analytics resources.
  • Experience standing up a demand planning function or transforming one that wasn't working.
  • Multi-brand or multi-entity forecasting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering, or Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the finished goods demand forecast using historical shipment data, statistical models, sales input, customer signals, and seasonality assumptions.
  • Set the methodology for forecast accuracy and bias measurement, then run root-cause analysis when the numbers slip.
  • Publish the item-level demand plan that production planning and purchasing consume as their primary signal.
  • Document and communicate demand assumptions, risks, and areas of uncertainty so stakeholders know where the forecast is solid and where it isn't.
  • Partner with Sales to incorporate customer intelligence, promotions, and pipeline visibility into the forecast.
  • Work with Production Planning and Purchasing to ensure the demand signal is understood and consumed correctly.
  • Contribute to the rollout of a new demand planning system, including the demand module configuration and adoption across brands.
  • Own demand planning KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, demand volatility) in partnership with the Planning Analytics Lead.
