About The Position

NVIDIA is seeking a software engineer for its Deep Learning Frameworks Sustaining Engineering team. The team develops software for deep learning and works directly with framework developers to integrate changes into open-source codebases. The role supports NVIDIA AI Enterprise subscribers by helping deliver timely Long Term Support releases for TensorFlow, PyTorch, and TensorRT.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Applied Math, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of relevant software development experience.
Excellent C/C++ programming and software design skills, including debugging and open-source integration.
Experience using software build tools such as Make, Docker, or Bazel; packaging systems such as Debian, pip, or npm; and build systems such as GitLab or CI/Jenkins.
Prior experience with machine learning algorithms and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or MXNet.
Ability to work independently, contribute to release stability, and communicate status effectively and in a detail-oriented manner.

Nice To Haves

Python experience.
GPU programming experience with CUDA or OpenCL.
Experience contributing to or managing large open-source projects, including GitHub, bug tracking, branching and merging, open-source licensing, and patch management.
Familiarity with GitLab CI pipelines.

Responsibilities

Back-port changes from mainline branches.
Track changes to open-source dependencies and ensure enterprise products use the latest stable dependencies.
Contribute changes that support timely Long Term Support releases for TensorFlow, PyTorch, and TensorRT.
Fix customer-reported bugs and integrate bug fixes from mainline.
Work with other teams to ensure open-source dependencies are patched for security vulnerabilities.
Contribute to release stability and communicate release status to involved stakeholders.
