About The Position

Parallel Employment Group, in partnership with an Aerospace company in Elma, NY, is seeking a Senior Deburrer and Finisher. In this role, you will be responsible for leading deburring operations by preparing, operating, and maintaining deburring machinery and tools to ensure machined parts meet or exceed quality standards. This role includes advanced inspection, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and mentoring junior staff while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The shift for this position is the 2nd shift, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a pay rate of $18.00 to $24.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in manufacturing or machining preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in deburring operations with increasing responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience with mechanical repairs and maintenance of deburring equipment.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of quality inspection tools such as gauges, micrometers, and microscopes.
  • Basic computer skills for production documentation and data entry.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive manual tasks safely.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a variety of hand tools for manual deburring of precision components.
  • Utilize equipment such as sand/bead blasters, manual press, ultrasonic cleaning tanks, tumblers, etc. according to work instructions.
  • Adjust deburring techniques to ensure deburring processes meet company specifications.
  • Inspect components and finished parts for quality and adherence to specifications using gauges and microscopes.
  • Notify supervisors promptly of any tolerance or discrepancy issues.
  • Maintain accurate counts of machined parts; clean, wash, or tumble parts as required.
  • Verify conformance of finished parts to drawings and quality standards.
  • Organize and maintain materials and paperwork in an orderly fashion.
  • Follow all provided work instructions.
  • Lead organization and maintenance of materials, tools, and production paperwork to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Document production, maintenance, and quality activities accurately by completing forms and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) records.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to junior deburrers and support staff.
  • Participate actively in process improvement projects, safety initiatives, and equipment upgrades.
