About The Position

This is a Guardium-specific engineering role within Elina's Database Security Engineering organization, focusing on the Database Activity Monitoring workstream. The role is explicitly about the Guardium product itself, involving provisioning, patching, running version upgrades, and building reporting on top of it. It is a hands-on Guardium ownership role, not a general entitlement/IAM role or a general "database activity monitoring automation" role. The team is a pure engineering team, not operations, with no on-call responsibilities. They build and certify solutions and then hand them off to operations with runbooks. The current environment is primarily on-prem SQL Server, with cloud database experience (AWS or Azure) being a plus.

Requirements

• Hands-on IBM Guardium experience
• Hands-on Python
• Hands-on Unix/KSH shell scripting
• Hands-on PowerShell
• Hands-on Oracle, MSSQL, or other RDBMS
• Hands-on experience with product certifications
• Hands-on process automation
• Experience with Jira and Horizon
• Real implementation experience with Guardium
• Must be comfortable working 3 days onsite in Charlotte, NJ, or Plano, TX

• CockroachDB experience
• Cassandra experience
• Postgres experience
