Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 15 years combined experience in database administration for DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server 2008R2/2012, and Oracle 10g and above.
  • Advanced knowledge of DB2 for z/OS application integration, performance management, database administration, upgrading, catalog maintenance, sub-system point-in-time recovery, and JCL.
  • In-depth knowledge of the z/OS integrated platform, CA GEN model management, ISPF, ASG Scheduler, COBOL, technical infrastructure implementation planning, and DB2/z/OS software monitoring tools.
  • Solid working knowledge of z/OS started task creation and management, IBI z/OS service support, AFOPER commands, RACF, CICS, IOF, Oracle/MSSQL application integration and administration, and disaster recovery technical requirements.
  • Working knowledge of z/OS EXITs, BJS, Windows Servers, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, Azure, and verification testing techniques for infrastructure change management.
  • Strong general skills in Communication, Customer Service, Decision Making, Flexibility, Interpersonal relations, Leadership, Problem Solving, Team Building, and Quality Assurance.
  • Candidates who move forward in the process will have to sign the Exhibit E Resume Self-Certification form we will provide.
  • FBI Level II background check may be required

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operational and database administration activities.
  • Plan, design, implement, and support database structures.
  • Conduct database performance monitoring and tuning.
  • Develop and maintain database administration procedures and documentation.
  • Perform SQL Code reviews.
  • Assist with training and mentoring other technical staff.
  • Perform other database or infrastructure activities as requested.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Provide excellent customer service to assess needs and resolve client issues.
