About The Position

The Senior Data Security Architect will advance enterprise data security capabilities, develop scalable protection frameworks, and establish consistent security controls across traditional databases, cloud platforms, and modern analytics environments. The role is part of the information security organization of a global financial services institution and collaborates with security engineering, enterprise architecture, technology operations, risk management, compliance, and privacy functions to protect critical information assets in a complex international environment. The architect designs and enhances enterprise data security architectures across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments; establishes standards for data discovery, classification, DLP, encryption, key management, access governance, monitoring, and recovery; and develops strategies for platforms such as Databricks, Oracle, SQL-based systems, and analytics environments. The role also evaluates technologies and architecture gaps, develops target-state designs and roadmaps, supports automation, and provides architectural guidance throughout technology implementations. This is a remote opportunity across the United States, with a hybrid option in Charlotte, North Carolina. Engagement is W2 only; C2C and 1099 are not accepted.
