About The Position

Fantom Corporation is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to support a mission-critical enterprise in the defense and intelligence community. The role is responsible for developing machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions, and creating artificial intelligence capabilities for intelligent products and data-driven decision-making. The position supports AI/ML across the full model lifecycle, from data exploration and feature engineering through validation and refinement, and monitors system health, user metrics, performance, and operational availability.

Requirements

• Must possess an active Top Secret clearance.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10 or more years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience with AI/ML.
• Proficiency in Python and experience working with large data sets.
• Advanced SQL skills and exposure to AWS and Azure.
• Strong technical expertise, including mentorship responsibilities and process optimization.
• Experience collaborating across teams and using secure software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Create artificial intelligence capabilities to power intelligent products and data-driven decision-making.
• Enable AI/ML across the full model lifecycle, from data exploration and feature engineering to validation and refinement.
• Monitor system health, user metrics, performance, and operational availability.
• Provide technical mentorship and deliver process optimization.
