•$147,000 - $182,000•Hybrid

About The Position

As a Senior Data Scientist on Linktree's Core Product Analytics team, you will help the company understand its product and decide what to build next. You will analyze activity from Linktree's users and visitors to identify what is working, what is not, and where the company should invest. You will partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing to define important metrics, design and assess experiments for launches, and investigate growth, retention, and monetisation questions that inform the roadmap. You will create rapid directional tests as well as formal hypothesis tests, working in lean build-measure-learn cycles. As Linktree brings core data analysis together under one team, you will help establish standards for measurement, testing, and reporting. The role is hands-on across the modern data stack, including building datasets and models. Your work will support Linktree's mission to empower anyone to curate and grow their digital universe.

Requirements

  • 4–5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or Product Analyst in a high-growth, product-led technology company.
  • Hands-on experience running a range of experiments, from quick-and-scrappy tests to formal hypothesis tests, with a strong grounding in statistics, power analysis, and causal inference.
  • Advanced SQL and fluency in Python or R for analysis and modelling; comfortable building pipelines and datasets.
  • Experience with modern data stacks such as dbt, Dagster or Airflow, and Snowflake or BigQuery, as well as BI tools such as Hex or Looker.
  • Track record of defining product metrics and using data to change product decisions, with demonstrable impact.
  • Comfortable working amid ambiguity, scoping problems independently, maintaining a clear point of view with senior stakeholders, and changing that view when the data indicates it.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to turn complex findings into clear recommendations for any audience.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities

  • Define, own, and evolve core product metrics and metric trees spanning acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and monetisation.

  • Lead deep-dive analyses on growth, retention, and revenue, proactively surfacing opportunities and risks not yet on the roadmap.
  • Build and own trusted datasets, dbt models, and dashboards that give teams reliable, self-serve visibility into product performance.
  • Partner with product managers and engineering leads on roadmap prioritisation, opportunity sizing, and success criteria for launches.
  • Set and champion standards for experimentation, metric definitions, and analytical rigour across the company, and mentor others in applying them.
  • Communicate insights to product leadership and the executive team through clear, decision-ready narratives.
