About the Role: At Centric, we help fashion, beauty, and home brands make informed decisions about stocking, promotions, and pricing using AI. As a (Senior) Data Scientist / Consultant, you will combine deep analytical expertise with a consulting mindset. You will build advanced models and work directly with clients, translating analysis into business decisions. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy solving complex problems, can explain technical concepts clearly, and thrive in international team environments delivering groundbreaking solutions.

Requirements

  • Excellent SQL skills and outstanding analytical instincts.
  • 3+ years in data analytics, ideally in retail or consumer products.
  • Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Statsmodels).
  • Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to make data concepts clear to a non-technical audience.
  • A degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, economics, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with big data environments such as PySpark.
  • Familiarity with statistical modeling or behavioral price effects.
  • Additional languages beyond English.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project managers, consultants, and clients throughout onboarding projects.
  • Translate business processes and customer requirements into data transformations and modeling approaches.
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Own the technical conversation, serving as the go-to contact for data science and data engineering topics.
  • Ensure data flows are accurate, stable, and well-documented.
  • Design, prepare, and analyze A/B tests to provide evidence-based answers to open questions.
  • Train and validate statistical and machine learning models to quantify the impact of pricing, promotions, and inventory decisions on the business.
  • Prototype with product management and develop efficient, well-tested Python code.
  • Track project-specific effort and maintain reliable and complete solution documentation.
  • Align customers and partners on data formats and transmission schedules.
