About The Position

This role involves performing data analysis and developing analytical solutions using various tools to address complex client business challenges within the utilities sector. The Senior Consultant will partner with clients and subject matter experts to define objectives, design analytical approaches, and translate business needs into scalable workflows, data products, dashboards, and decision-support tools. A key aspect of the role is leading project workstreams, providing technical mentorship, and presenting findings to diverse audiences to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
THREE (3) or more years of professional experience applying data analytics, business intelligence, data science, or related quantitative techniques to solve complex business problems
Proficiency with analytical and data management tools such as Python, SQL, R, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau, GIS, or similar technologies.
Experience working with large and complex datasets and developing analytical solutions from concept through implementation.
Strong communication and consulting skills, including the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights and recommendations.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting electric, gas, water, or other energy-sector organizations.
Familiarity with utility business functions such as customer programs, DERs, electrification, asset management, operations, regulatory planning.
Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms, data engineering, AI, machine learning, geospatial analytics, or optimization techniques.
Experience developing dashboards, data products, or decision-support applications for business users.
Experience working in a consulting or client-facing environment.
Master's degree or relevant certifications in analytics, cloud technologies, or data engineering.

Responsibilities

Perform data analysis and develop analytical solutions using tools such as Python, R, Snowflake, SQL, Databricks, Power BI, GIS, and other modern analytics platforms to address complex client business challenges.
Partner with utility clients and Guidehouse subject matter experts to define business objectives, analytical approaches, technical requirements, and actionable recommendations.
Design, develop, test, and implement data, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that support utility clients' business objectives.
Translate business needs into scalable analytical workflows, data products, dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools.
Lead project workstreams and provide technical mentorship, guidance, and quality review for analysts and consultants, supporting their professional development and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences, helping clients gain confidence in data-driven decisions.
