Senior Data Platform Project Manager
About The Position
We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise data platform projects. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating the implementation of modern data platforms and data management solutions, and ensuring successful project execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing, data lake/lakehouse architecture, data engineering concepts, and ETL/ELT processes, along with experience managing Agile software development projects. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to coordinate multiple technical teams and complex project dependencies. The role requires ensuring projects adhere to enterprise governance, quality, security, and compliance standards, and driving communication across leadership teams with regular status updates. Continuous process improvement and adoption of data engineering best practices are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Technical Project Management experience delivering enterprise data initiatives.
- Proven experience leading cloud data platform implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehousing
- Strong understanding of Data Lake / Lakehouse Architecture
- Strong understanding of Data Engineering concepts
- Strong understanding of ETL / ELT processes
- Experience managing Agile software development projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple technical teams and complex project dependencies.

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise data platform projects from planning through implementation.
- Manage cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate implementation of modern data platforms and data management solutions.
- Track project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies while ensuring successful execution.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and manage project delivery using Agile methodologies.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize deliverables.
- Ensure projects follow enterprise governance, quality, security, and compliance standards.
- Drive communication across leadership teams and provide regular project status updates.
- Support continuous process improvement and adoption of data engineering best practices.
