About The Position

The Senior Data Informatics Analyst generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets, and provides information to end users using system tools, databases, data warehouse queries, and scripts. The role integrates data from multiple sources and programs and maintains report forms and formats, dashboards, data generators, canned reports, and other end-user information resources. The analyst may create report specifications based on business requests.

The position builds and maintains interactive Power BI reports, scorecards, and dashboards; designs and optimizes semantic data models, data flows, and relational schemas using Power Query and DAX; and writes Python scripts for data preparation, API integrations, and automation. It also involves writing and optimizing SQL queries, collaborating with business teams to turn operational needs into KPIs and reports, and troubleshooting refresh and performance issues while ensuring data accuracy and security compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related quantitative field and 8 or more years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree and 6 or more years of relevant experience.
• Three or more years of hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards and data models and publishing reports.
• Two or more years of experience using Python for data analysis, automation, and scripting, including libraries such as pandas, numpy, or requests.
• Strong proficiency writing SQL queries and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Snowflake.
• Deep understanding of DAX and data transformation workflows.
• Ability to distill large volumes of raw data into clear, actionable business insights.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Generate ad hoc reports and regular datasets for end users using system tools, databases, data warehouse queries, and scripts.
• Integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
• Program and maintain report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports, and other end-user information resources.
• Create report specifications based on business requests as needed.
• Build, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI reports, scorecards, and dashboards in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Design and optimize semantic data models, data flows, and relational schemas using Power Query and DAX.
• Write Python scripts for data cleaning, preprocessing, API integrations, and task automation for downstream BI models.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and transform data from relational databases and cloud data warehouses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to gather requirements, translate operational needs into KPIs, and iterate on reports.
• Troubleshoot data refresh issues, optimize slow-loading DAX measures, and ensure data accuracy and security compliance.
