About The Position

The Senior Data Engineer supports a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians. These products facilitate information capture and approvals that allow data to move through the customer mission space compliantly, while standardizing and simplifying data movement, reuse, and integration with downstream tools. The role outlines, develops, and implements data engineering solutions. It works with concurrent IC-provided data sets to identify, map, and model transformation routines for ingestion into customer corporate repositories, and documents new and existing data flows that support data-routing implementations.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph.
• Twenty years of experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university; five additional years of Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for the degree.

• Experience with Java and Splunk.
• Experience with current and evolving agency dataflow and reporting solutions.
• Experience developing system performance, availability, scalability, manageability, and security requirements for mid-to-large-scale systems.

• Experience developing and deploying storage within clustered or cloud environments.
• Experience planning and integrating secure, compliant solutions based on legal, policy, and compliance directives.
• Working knowledge of NiFi and comfort working in a Linux environment.
• Experience interacting with data ontologies (schemas) and structured data types such as XML, CSV, and JSON.
• Database experience with MySQL or NoSQL and analytic query experience with a platform.
