About The Position

MatchPoint Solutions is hiring a Senior Data Engineer focused on generative AI and AWS. This contract role is based in Los Angeles, California, with a hybrid work arrangement. The engineer will design and develop AWS data pipelines and automated document-processing workflows, build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) capabilities and knowledge bases, and personally build and deploy Claude agents using the Claude Agent SDK and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime. The role also includes developing CI/CD pipelines and optimizing systems for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of experience.
• Python and SQL.
• AWS Step Functions, Lambda, and S3.
• Amazon Textract and Comprehend.
• Document AI or OCR.
• Vector databases and embeddings.
• Document chunking and indexing.
• RAG and knowledge-base integration.
• Amazon Bedrock.
• Claude Agent SDK; the individual must personally build and deploy Claude agents.
• AgentCore Runtime.
• GitHub Actions and CI/CD.
• AWS IAM and API integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data pipelines using AWS Step Functions, Lambda, S3, Textract, and Comprehend.
• Build automated workflows to extract, transform, and process structured and unstructured data from documents.
• Implement document chunking, embeddings, vector indexing, and semantic search.
• Develop and maintain vector databases and knowledge bases for RAG.
• Integrate knowledge bases with AI agents for contextual information retrieval.
• Personally build AI agents using the Claude Agent SDK and deploy them on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Runtime.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
• Optimize data pipelines for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
