Requirements

• 8+ years in data engineering, enterprise data warehousing, ETL development, or analytics engineering
• Expert in designing and supporting enterprise data warehouses, ODS, and analytics platforms
• Proficient in Oracle Database/PL-SQL, SQL Server/T-SQL, or similar technologies
• Deep experience with cloud data platforms (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, SnapLogic, SSIS, API integrations)
• Advanced skills in data modeling, schema design, and database performance optimization
• Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, data lifecycle management, and data governance
• Experience supporting higher education data systems (SIS, ERP, HCM, LMS, CRM)
• Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP/HCM integrations
• Familiarity with higher education platforms: Ellucian Banner/Colleague, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Workday Student
• Knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Database, OCI Data Integration, OCI Analytics
• Experience with data quality, metadata management, and compliance (FERPA, HIPAA, TAC 202)
• Relevant Oracle, Microsoft, or cloud certifications
• Knowledge of IPEDS reporting and higher education regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and maintain operational data stores, data warehouses, and data lake solutions on cloud and on-premises platforms
• Build scalable, secure data pipelines and integrations using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Integration Cloud, SnapLogic, SSIS, PL/SQL, and T-SQL
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for structured and semi-structured data sources
• Implement enterprise-wide data integration frameworks, including batch, near-real-time, and API-driven solutions
• Support analytics and business intelligence initiatives with Power BI, Oracle Analytics Cloud, and SQL-based reporting
• Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance with higher education, state, and federal regulations
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior team members
• Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and development of technical standards
• Support migration of legacy data platforms to modern cloud-native architectures
• Contribute to Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD development practices
