We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Asset-Based Finance (ABF) and mortgage servicing to lead the architecture, transformation, and modernization of our investment and portfolio analytics requirements. In this role, you will design and maintain robust, cloud-native data pipelines in Snowflake, drive legacy-to-modern data platform migrations, and ensure financial data integrity across all reporting systems. Beyond core data engineering, you will play a hands-on role in end-to-end delivery—translating business requirements into Agile execution, managing project timelines, and driving technical operational readiness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of expert-level SQL experience (writing complex queries, CTEs, advanced window functions, conditional logic, complex joins, and performance optimization).
• 5+ years of professional Python development experience processing complex datasets efficiently and automating workflows using Pandas, Polars, or equivalent data libraries.
• Hands-on experience designing and optimizing cloud-native data warehouses/datalakes, specifically Snowflake.
• Modern Data Pipelines: Proven experience building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines.
• Specialized experience in Asset-Based Finance (ABF) and mortgage servicing (e.g., settlements, remittances, cash consolidation, and servicing workflows).
• Demonstrated success managing full lifecycle project delivery, driving requirements from design and build to testing and deployment.
• Exceptional communication and change management skills, with a track record of bridging the gap between technical teams and business leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud-native data pipelines and data lake architectures in Snowflake to support ABF investment and portfolio analytics.
• Develop and manage scalable, automated ETL/ELT workflows to efficiently ingest, transform, and curate data from diverse structured and unstructured sources.
• Support the end-to-end migration from legacy systems to a modern data platform, including complex data mapping, transformation logic development, and architecture alignment.
• Support advanced analytics and reporting use cases by implementing data cleaning, de-duplication, reconciliation, validation, and strict financial data integrity checks.
• Break down high-level business requirements into actionable Epics and User Stories within Jira.
• Support project planning, timeline estimation, risk mitigation, and cross-functional team coordination.
• Assist with integration testing, cutover planning, and go-live readiness to ensure smooth deployment.
• Partner closely with business, finance, and operations teams to align stakeholders and ensure seamless operational adoption of the new platform.
