About The Position

The organization is seeking a Senior Data Architect with expertise in data architecture, data strategy, data governance, performance tuning, risk management, collaboration, data modeling, ETL tools, and Oracle PL/SQL. The role involves architecting and modeling data solutions for large volumes, defining enterprise data standards and governance practices, and translating business strategy into data architecture. It also requires communicating architectural trade-offs to leadership and producing documentation for technical and business audiences.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or database engineering, including prior experience as a senior or lead data modeler, solution architect, or data architect.
• Deep, hands-on enterprise-scale expertise with Erwin Data Modeler, including Model Mart, subject areas, complex compare/merge, and versioning across large teams.
• Strong expertise with on-premise Oracle Database, including advanced SQL/PL-SQL, schema design, partitioning, indexing strategy, and architectural-level performance tuning.
• Demonstrated experience architecting and modeling for large data volumes, from gigabytes to multiple terabytes, with designs that scaled successfully in production.
• Strong command of data modeling theory, including normalization and denormalization, cardinality, keys, and referential integrity, as well as dimensional modeling (star and snowflake) for analytics.
• Experience defining enterprise data standards, governance frameworks, and metadata and lineage practices.
• Extensive working knowledge of data movement and processing, including middleware, ETL, APIs, OLAP, and data-tracking best practices.
• Ability to work at the intersection of technical architecture and executive stakeholder management, translating business strategy into data architecture and communicating trade-offs to leadership.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience producing architecture documentation, ER diagrams, and data dictionaries for technical and business audiences.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a regulated industry such as utilities, financial services, insurance, or healthcare, with related data governance and compliance obligations.
• Experience leading or mentoring a team of data modelers or architects.
• Previous experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with complementary data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, Collibra, or Alation.
• Exposure to hybrid on-premise and cloud data strategies, even where the primary platform remains Oracle on-premise.
• Experience with Target Operating Model (TOM) design for data functions.
• Relevant certifications such as OCI, DAMA, or CDMP.
• Experience with Hadoop.
• Working experience with Denodo.
