About The Position

The Earnings Excellence Finance Data Analytics team serves as Operations analytics hub for Walmart’s EE Finance organization, driving data-informed decisions across the network. Our mission provide E2E visibility into Driver Earnings and Disbursements through actionable insights for Compliance and regulatory purposes. We focus on : Building dashboards and tools to monitor Driver Earnings KPIs and operational performance. Supporting Functional teams within finance and other groups through advanced analytics and optimization strategies. Providing ad-hoc analytics for leadership to enable quick, informed decision-making. Driving analytics for pilots and strategic initiatives, ensuring data-backed recommendations for future growth. As part of this team, the Senior Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional partners, leverage cutting-edge technologies, and apply advanced analytics to solve complex transportation challenges—ultimately improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Expertise in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI)
  • Strong knowledge of data quality management, data governance, and database technologies
  • Experience applying statistical techniques and exploratory data analysis
  • Ability to translate business requirements into impactful data projects
  • Proven track record of delivering insights in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Understanding of Walmart LMD Operations
  • Have worked on BQ datasets, Connect Upstream to Finance usecases using DCA & other Data assets
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
  • 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance standards.
  • Perform advanced analysis using SQL, Python, and statistical methods to uncover trends and opportunities.
  • Build dashboards and translate complex data into actionable insights for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define problems and align metrics.
  • Communicate insights through clear storytelling and visualizations for diverse audiences.
  • Lead root cause analysis and recommend process enhancements.
  • Identify and implement data-driven opportunities for operational efficiency.
  • Mentor teams on data-driven decision-making and process improvements.
  • Ensure data quality and governance for analytics and model deployment (e.g., GCP BigQuery).
