About The Position
United HealthCare Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to design, build, test, deliver, and maintain conversion jobs that cleanse and transform data from various source data sets into United HealthCare Services’ policy management system. This role involves accessing, extracting, and merging data from different sources, formats, platforms, and systems. The analyst will utilize data scrubbing techniques to ensure data accuracy, including parsing, data transformation, duplicate elimination, and statistical modeling. A key part of the role is collaborating with non-technical business subject matter experts to develop conversion logic for data anomalies. The position also requires authoring and maintaining documentation for data mapping and cleansing, verifying and documenting accurate conversion and validation of source data, and participating in client meetings to present conversion/validation results. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 12 months of experience in the job offered or in an analyst-related occupation
- Facilitate and document gathering requirements such as mapping documents, process flows, test cases, and business requirement documents

Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, deliver and maintain conversion jobs that cleanse and transform data from various source data sets into United HealthCare Services’ policy management system
- Access, extract, and merge data from different data sources, formats, platforms and systems
- Utilize data scrubbing techniques to ensure data accuracy, including parsing, data transformation, duplicate elimination, and statistical modeling
- Collaborate with non-technical business subject matter experts to work through the build out of conversion logic that will address data anomalies
- Author and maintain documentation surrounding the mapping and cleansing of source data as it is transformed into our policy management system
- Verify and document that all source data is accurately converted, validated, and accounted for as it is transformed into our policy management system
- Participate in meetings with client teams to present conversion / validation results
