About The Position

This is an examination for the Senior Data Conversion Operator position. By submitting an application, you are applying to take a Civil Service Examination to be placed on an Eligible List for future openings. The role involves the creation and/or conversion of data into machine-readable or direct access form using various devices. This position also assists in training other Data Conversion Operators and can assume supervisory duties in their absence. The position requires a typing speed of 30 WPM or better and may involve a computerized or traditional written examination to assess job-related objectives and minimum qualifications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of full-time paid experience as a computer operator (a position for which operating a computer to enter, manage, or manipulate data or similar tasks is a primary job function) required.
• Must be able to type 30 words per minute.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver's License required.
• For Public Utilities roles: Must be able to demonstrate excellent 10-key data entry skills and an ability to scan a high volume of documents.

Responsibilities

• Creation and/or conversion of data to machine readable or direct access form using keyboard, 10-key, scanner, or other device(s).
• Assists in the training of Data Conversion Operators.
• Assumes the duties of the supervisor in his/her absence.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
