Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Economics
  • 2+ years of experience with Python, SQL, or R
  • 1+ years of experience with version control, preferably Git
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of statistical concepts, such as regression modeling and hypothesis testing

Nice To Haves

  • Multiple years of experience applying statistical methods, especially in a health care context
  • Multiple years of Python, SQL, or R experience, preferably with health care data
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance multiple priorities and projects
  • Ability to work with less structured, more complex issues
  • 1+ year of experience with health care data
  • Ability to maintain project documentation and files, review, track, and manage study documents for completeness and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Ability to interpret analytic results and provide analytic input for final reports and presentations

Responsibilities

  • Serve as statistical support on research projects that aim to evaluate the Surest product, with a demonstrated ability to support all phases of research, including method selection, data preparation, execution of analysis, and dissemination of results
  • Synthesize requests from non-technical stakeholders into meaningful analyses through identification of appropriate data sources and methods
  • Support the creation of scalable analytic processes, such as new analytic reporting capabilities
  • Use programming languages such as Python (PySpark, pandas) and SQL to build efficient data pipelines and analytics
  • Appropriate use of simple analytical methods (means, weighted means, counts) and more complex methods (regression modeling, matching methods, machine learning)
  • Independently review claims data, provider data, digital data, and other health care data to clearly understand capabilities and limitations of the data for analysis
  • Participate in technical documentation of analytics and results
  • Support review of internal and external deliverables for accuracy (QA)
