About The Position
The Senior Data Analyst will leverage advanced data management and analytical expertise to identify, integrate, and assess business data sources, ensuring high data quality and alignment with organizational objectives. This role involves translating complex business requirements into actionable insights, supporting data strategy execution, and delivering clear visualizations to influence decision-making. The position requires collaboration across multiple business domains to solve complex challenges, promote data governance, and enhance operational efficiency through rigorous analysis and effective communication. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong project management skills and proficiency in SQL and data integration technologies. Our team supports Transportation for Walmart U.S. eCommerce by translating strategies into scalable network configurations that enable fast, reliable, and cost-effective delivery. Collaborating with Network Planning, Product, Engineering, Operations, and Carrier teams, we configure, validate, and implement transportation network changes across fulfillment centers, stores, sort centers, distribution centers, and last-mile carriers. We ensure launch readiness through rigorous validation, governance, and execution, reducing operational risk while enabling new capabilities. Combining technical expertise and operational knowledge, the team delivers transportation solutions that impact millions of customer orders daily, bridging strategy and execution effectively.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in data management, integration, and quality assurance within complex business environments.
- Proficiency in SQL and other data querying languages to extract, analyze, and validate large datasets.
- Strong understanding of business systems, requirements gathering, and translating business needs into actionable data solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to perform exploratory data analysis using statistical techniques and relevant tools.
- Expertise in data visualization best practices and tools to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Knowledge of data governance, quality frameworks, and enterprise data architecture principles.
- Proven project management skills to coordinate data initiatives aligned with business strategy.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
- Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
