Requirements

  • 5+ years of financial industry experience, preferably in Finance, Technology, Data Management, or related disciplines.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage a variety of tasks.
  • Works in a self-directed manner and takes a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work, manage complexity, and deliver solutions within deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience performing data analysis.
  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and commitment to accuracy, with the ability to research issues, identify root causes, and recognize patterns.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with Enterprise Data Management (EDM) policies and standards.
  • Familiarity with Risk Data Aggregation (RDA) principles and governance practices, including data ownership, lineage, quality, controls, issue management, and the production of accurate, complete, and timely risk data and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards.
  • Triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates.
  • Helping define access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.
  • Assisting the DSME and DSE in the execution of Enterprise Data Management Standards, data quality practices, and control processes.
  • Functioning as a liaison between the DSME and data management stakeholders that carry out data management tasks.
  • Identifying gaps in data management standards adherence and working with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators and internal controls.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to create infrastructure and processes that adhere to EDM standards and other regulatory mandates.
  • Working with other groups as needed, including Compliance, Audit, Operational Risk, and Technology, to ensure effective controls over data for the respective Domain.
  • Responsible for data monitoring and controls across Global Technology (GT) FLU/Domains.
  • Monitoring existing and new business processes, risks, and controls across the EDM (Enterprise Data Management) Data Lifecycles to improve out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to perform QA assessments, identify and remediate gaps, and ensure adherence to EDM policies and standards.
  • Subject matter expert for adherence with Capture, Transport, Use, and External Data Transmission (EDT) requirements across GT domains.
  • Partnering with FLU and DSE leads to provide oversight and create action plans to address EDM standards adherence remediation gaps.
  • Facilitating annual EDM Standards Adherence inspections and engaging appropriate stakeholders.
  • Partnering with FLU and DSE leads to educate, report, and monitor EDM standards adherence.
  • Partnering with FLU and DSE leads to research and resolve EDMR metric breaches.
  • Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for purpose through testing procedures and data controls that identify business insights and support operational needs.
  • Develops and executes Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, works across teams to ensure adherence, serves as a key point of contact for data compliance topics, and manages operational elements of the Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship.
  • Manages data-related incidents and identifies, communicates, resolves, or escalates issues as needed.
  • Develops, manages, and executes controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of control breaches associated with data platforms.
  • Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements and ensures strategic upstream resolution for data-related incidents.
