About The Position

Empower AI is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Network Defense Administrator to perform a variety of network defense activities in accordance with established guidelines and best practices. This role involves managing ACAS infrastructure, configuration, scanning, reporting, and analysis activities, as well as supporting mission-critical Army IT services across enterprise data centers and cloud-hosted environments. The position is remote-eligible, with a preference for local candidates in the Roanoke and Radford, Virginia area who may prefer an on-site or hybrid arrangement. The ideal candidate will possess deep network defense and vulnerability management expertise, strong DoD cybersecurity compliance knowledge, and the ability to support critical Army IT services.

Requirements

  • Cybersecurity Certification (such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent).
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • 10 or more years' experience with Cybersecurity and Network Defense related areas.
  • Experience with ACAS management, including infrastructure management, configuration, scanning, reporting, and analysis.
  • Proficiency in managing Army Endpoint Security Solution (AESS) Site Reviewer activities.
  • Experience with DISA Whitelist management.
  • Knowledge of PKI Token management.
  • Strong understanding of DoD STIGs and ability to perform STIG compliance scanning and reporting.
  • Experience providing Ports, Protocols, & Services Management (PPSM) support.
  • Ability to review proposed configuration changes for security impact.
  • Experience with in-processing and out-processing tasks related to account management functions.
  • Occasional travel to government facilities or data center locations may be required based on mission needs.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.
  • Familiarity with DISA ACAS Best Practices Guide and NETCOM policies.
  • Familiarity with DISA Continuous Monitoring and Risk Scoring (CMRS).

Responsibilities

  • Manage ACAS infrastructure, configuration, scanning, reporting, and analysis activities in accordance with the DISA ACAS Best Practices Guide.
  • Manage Army Endpoint Security Solution (AESS) Site Reviewer activities, DISA Whitelist, and PKI Tokens.
  • Perform STIG compliance scanning and reporting.
  • Provide Ports, Protocols, & Services Management (PPSM) support.
  • Review proposed configuration changes for security impact.
  • Handle in-processing and out-processing tasks related to account management functions.
  • Manage updates to the designated training and certification tracking system.
  • Participate in Software Assurance reviews to ensure ACAS findings are remediated or documented via eMASS POA&M.
