About The Position

EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a full-time Senior Network Administrator onsite in Radford, VA. In this position, you will focus on the implementation and sustainment of switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools in a datacenter environment supporting two separate DoD networks. Your responsibilities will include network management, analysis, troubleshooting, developing, and maintaining local operating procedures and policies, developing, and maintaining network automation and scripts, and monitoring the ongoing operation of the network.

Requirements

• Master's degree with 10+ years of related work experience or Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of related work experience.
• 5+ years of Network Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of configuring and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools.
• Experience with network management, analysis, and troubleshooting tools.
• Experience with Data Center Management.
• Ability to train junior team members.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Computing Environment (CE) Certification Professional Level or higher (i.e., Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCNP Datacenter, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, etc.).
• CompTIA Security+ Certified
• Active Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

• Experience in implementing and maintaining security management strategies (DISA STIGs experience preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Implement and sustain switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, and network management tools.
