About The Position
UnityTec is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer specializing in Comply to Connect (ForeScout) to provide comprehensive security engineering support across the information system lifecycle. The role uses systematic methodologies to analyze requirements and integrate secure technological solutions, while resolving specialized cybersecurity challenges, optimizing operational workflows, and aligning system capabilities with security protocols. The position is located in Richmond, Virginia, and requires travel. UnityTec is an SBA-certified Woman-Owned Small Business providing professional and technical services to government agencies, including industrial and enterprise systems modernization, financial improvement and audit readiness, industrial facility transformation, program and project management, enterprise support and consulting, and advanced analytics.
Requirements
- Must be a ForeScout Certified Administrator (FSCA).
- At least 7 years of relevant IT experience.
- At least 4 years of experience maintaining Comply to Connect solutions in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Highly proficient with Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support and Network Operations Specialist.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess a current DoD Secret clearance.

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
- Relevant certification meeting DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III.
- Relevant certification meeting DoD 8570/8140 CND-IS.
Responsibilities
- Provide foundational and ongoing security engineering expertise throughout the system development life cycle (SDLC), supporting the planning, design, development, testing, demonstration, and integration of secure information systems.
- Evaluate, define, and analyze information security requirements to ensure systems and technology infrastructures are compliant, resilient, and aligned with defined cybersecurity postures.
- Execute routine and specialized project tasks by integrating electronic processes and standardized methodologies to resolve total-system technical problems and ensure technology deployments meet cybersecurity mandates.
- Use analytical, systematic approaches to troubleshoot and resolve logistical and technical challenges.
- Improve project workflows, organizational alignment, and strategic planning processes within cybersecurity operations.
