About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to be a security ambassador, promoting and implementing security processes and tools that support our scientists, enabling them to continue their great work securely and efficiently. This role involves understanding when to use tools, processes, and policy to resolve key security goals, collaborating with multiple departments to understand workflows and how security can reduce or remove risk, increasing the utilization of current security tools for maximum benefit, and developing and providing key metrics to present the organization's risk profile.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED minimum
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience supporting Cybersecurity areas such as: SOC (Security Operation Center), Risk Management, Penetration Testing, Incident Response, Assessments, Audits
  • Due to Contractual requirements, must be a U.S. Person defined as, U.S. citizen permanent resident or green card holder, workers granted asylum or refugee status.
  • Due to national security requirements imposed by the U.S. Government, candidates for this position must not be a People's Republic of China national or Russian national unless the candidate is also a U.S. citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field

  • Applicable security certifications (ISC2, ISACA, CEH, SANS) are desired.

  • Strong technical leadership abilities and vision.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft M365, SIEM, Firewalls, Azure, AWS, EPP, EDR, and network monitoring.

  • Willingness to be flexible in meeting the demands of a fast-moving business.
