About The Position

This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining the store's appearance. The associate will engage with customers, handle money, and contribute to the store's donation goals. They will also receive cross-training in other areas to support company productivity and individual growth. Key duties include stocking merchandise, maintaining sales floor organization, and ensuring a clean and orderly store environment, both interior and exterior. The position requires adherence to all company policies and safety procedures, professional etiquette, and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures.
  • Process register transactions, handle money, and count down a drawer.
  • Engage customers successfully using specific steps (greeting, focusing on customer, maintaining store appearance, walking/talking/showing, thanking customers, listening and responding to concerns, engaging at the register, managing register line, using phone etiquette, and providing announcements).
  • Achieve a 40% Round-Up transaction average monthly.
  • Receive cross-training as Donation-Utility Associate and Barcoder.
  • Train to complete opening and closing procedures.
  • Stock and maintain sales floor with newly processed merchandise.
  • Maintain a clean, organized sales floor by sizing merchandise and organizing wares and furniture.
  • Recover sales floor and dress rooms.
  • Establish or identify prices of goods.
  • Utilize systems, including phones and paging systems, and make regularly scheduled announcements.
  • Maintain interior and exterior of store in a neat, clean, and orderly manner (includes vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors, washing windows, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance at all times.
  • Wear company-issued uniform.
  • Regular attendance is required.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned.
