The Senior Custodian, under supervision, provides daily, general cleaning services in a variety of styles to Campus Buildings. This role involves administrative support such as supervising teams/shifts of custodians, training new team members, acting as Quality Control, assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, maintaining inventory, and holding custodians accountable for attendance and performance. Operations support includes performing various cleaning tasks for buildings, including floors, walls, windows, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas. The Senior Custodian is also responsible for opening and securing buildings, picking up and delivering supplies, collecting and disposing of trash, and making recommendations for process improvements. Equipment support involves operating cleaning machines and moving furniture. Special projects include gathering and reporting supply requests, equipment issues, property damage, vandalism, water intrusion, and light bulb replacements. The position also requires participation in on-call duties for evenings, weekends, and special events, as well as shift changes. Communication with building occupants regarding maintenance schedules, responding to work orders, and interacting professionally with others are key aspects of this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
