DCI is seeking a Senior Culture and People Generalist in Kent, WA to join our small and dynamic team! This role will function as a true Senior Culture & People generalist with a strong interest in working and learning across all areas of HR processes. Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive HR generalist or HR business partner experience, including direct experience handling employee relations, performance management, compensation, organizational development, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • High emotional intelligence and emotional maturity, with the ability to remain grounded, approachable, and solutions-oriented in challenging situations.
  • Experience supporting or administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) and coordinating employee training and development programs.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification required.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and build trust with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR compliance, benefits, compensation practices, and HR best practices; exposure to global HR operations strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to navigate sensitive conversations, manage ambiguity, and balance employee advocacy with business priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative mindset, and a good sense of humor that contributes positively to team culture and employee relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication, responsiveness, follow-through, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated initiative, adaptability, and the capacity to help evolve and scale HR practices in a growing organization.
  • A collaborative, low-ego team player who values transparency, accountability, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with leadership, managers, and employees to provide strategic guidance on employee relations, performance management, coaching, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead and support complex employee relations matters, conducting investigations, facilitating difficult conversations, and driving timely, balanced resolutions.
  • Contribute to and help scale HR programs and initiatives focused on retention, engagement, learning & development, leadership development, and organizational growth.
  • Administer and help optimize the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), including training assignments, reporting, compliance tracking, and employee development initiatives.
  • Partner with leaders to identify training needs and support the development, coordination, and delivery of employee learning and development programs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with ownership, leadership, payroll, accounting, legal counsel, and external partners to align people strategies with business objectives.
  • Support and influence company-wide compensation planning and annual compensation review processes.
  • Drive employee performance and recognition initiatives that reinforce company culture and accountability.
  • Provide leadership support across recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, wellness initiatives, leave management, internship programs, and global employee programs.
  • Participate in and help strengthen workplace safety initiatives and company safety committee efforts.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and culture ambassador while maintaining a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and credibility across the organization.
  • Provide occasional operational support in partnership with Office and Facilities functions as needed.
