About The Position

RevenueCat is seeking a Senior CRM Strategist to join their Customer Growth organization. This role is part of a new, cross-functional team focused on app monetization, acting as an in-house growth advisory practice. The team partners directly with customers and prospects to design and implement high-impact growth strategies, focusing on user engagement, retention, and recovery after churn. The strategist will collaborate with CRO Designers and UA Strategists, and work closely with content, marketing, and advocacy teams to create resources for the app community. The role involves hands-on work with customer data and CRM tools to improve lifecycle marketing, optimize onboarding, nurture trials, manage renewals, recover from billing failures, save cancellations, and implement win-back campaigns. The goal is to leverage RevenueCat's rich subscription data to help customers reach the right user at the right moment, driving retention and revenue. This position requires direct customer interaction, campaign architecture, segmentation logic, and messaging experiments, with opportunities to influence product roadmaps and become a public voice in mobile lifecycle marketing.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of hands-on experience in mobile lifecycle marketing or CRM, with a significant portion spent on subscription apps.
  • Personally owned engagement strategy and been accountable for retention and LTV targets.
  • Deep working knowledge of leading mobile CRM and engagement platforms (Braze, Iterable, OneSignal, CleverTap, Customer.io, or Airship).
  • Experience building complex multi-step campaigns.
  • Proven ability to design and measure lifecycle experiments, including A/B testing and using holdout groups.
  • Strong understanding of the mobile engagement landscape (push notifications, in-app messaging, email) and privacy changes.
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills, including leading workshops and presenting strategies.
  • Experience working in a remote-first, asynchronous environment across multiple time zones.
  • Thinks in systems, not just channels, understanding the entire post-install engagement loop.
  • Speaks data fluently, comfortable with cohort analyses and segmentation.
  • Builds for scale, aiming to create reusable assets.
  • Ships and iterates, with an ownership mentality and comfort in ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

  • Worked at or closely with a CRM/engagement platform.
  • Published content, spoken at conferences, or built a public profile around mobile retention or lifecycle marketing.
  • Experience with subscription apps specifically, understanding unique dynamics of trial conversion, renewal psychology, and involuntary churn.
  • Familiarity with RevenueCat's product or have been a customer.

Responsibilities

  • Run discovery sessions, audit customer lifecycle setups, and design engagement frameworks.
  • Help customers connect RevenueCat's subscription data to their CRM platforms for timely, personalized messaging.
  • Design and implement engagement strategies spanning user acquisition, conversion rate optimization, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Collaborate with CRO Designer and UA Strategist counterparts.
  • Partner with content, marketing, and advocacy teams to create templates, case studies, webinars, and best-practice guides.
  • Get hands-on with campaign architectures, segmentation logic, and messaging experiments.
  • Partner with Product to shape the integrations that are built.
  • Provide continuous input to Product and Engineering on integrations, event triggers, and data payloads.
  • Codify successful strategies into scalable assets like playbooks, templates, and guides.
  • Create public-facing content such as blog posts, webinars, and conference talks.
  • Enable Sales, Customer Success, and Support teams to discuss CRM and retention strategies.

  • Fully remote and flexible work environment
  • 4-5 weeks of suggested time off annually
  • $2,000 USD for workspace setup
