About The Position

Provide risk assessment, monitor status, and coordinate activities supporting company’s customer credit policies/activities for residential and small commercial accounts.

Requirements

• Requires a high school education or the equivalent knowledge of English, basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculation of fractions and/or percentages), grammar and punctuation
• Requires a minimum of three (3) years credit and collections experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply the company’s credit and collection policies, practices, and procedures to the credit requirements of a designated number of customer accounts.
• Extend credit to customers in accordance with established policy and terms.
• Review files, reports, and credit bureau documents of customers.
• Exercise day to day functional responsibility for credit decisions over personnel indirectly assigned to the accounts.
• Carry out the established program for the follow up and collection of accounts receivable.
• Investigate and prepare findings to complaints from customers, Public Utility Commission, Railroad Commission and Public Service Commissions, customer advocates, and CenterPoint Energy management.
