About The Position

This role is for a Senior Credit Risk Approver with approval responsibilities across U.S. Bank's Fixed Income & Capital Markets businesses and related growth initiatives within Global Capital Markets and Wealth, Corporate, Commercial and Institutional Banking (WCIB). The position will be responsible for approving credit risk and market distribution risk related to U.S. Bank's activities in capital markets underwriting, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, loan capital markets, municipal products, structured credit, derivatives, and other markets-focused financing solutions, as well as for the related sales and trading platforms. In addition to overall credit approval responsibilities for Fixed Income & Capital Markets and WCIB growth initiatives, this position will work collaboratively with the business lines to both maintain and ensure compliance with related policies and procedures, monitor and report on risk across the portfolios (including timely determination of risk ratings and ratings migration), ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and identify trends, potential risks and issues and integrate and support new product introductions and market expansions. The position will also work closely with all the business lines across WCIB and the Institutional Client Group (ICG) to both serve as a subject matter expert on and provide guidance and training related to the Fixed Income & Capital Markets businesses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in economics, finance or accounting, or equivalent work experience
  • 15 or more years of experience in a credit risk management environment, including experience managing credit and distribution risk within Fixed Income and Global Capital Markets businesses

Responsibilities
