About The Position

Netflix is seeking a Senior Credit and Collections Manager to join its Revenue Accounting and Operations team. This role is crucial for developing and refining a sophisticated credit and collections management environment to ensure smooth, efficient, and risk-balanced business operations. The position will focus on solving complex issues across B2B Revenue verticals such as Advertising, Partnerships, and Consumer Products, and will partner with multiple cross-functional teams to establish and scale credit, collections, and dispute management policies and workflows. The role is based in the United States but requires cross-functional collaboration across many time zones with US and international offices. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, can multitask, and takes initiative to implement efficient and scalable policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience - credit and collections management experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance-related field.
  • Proven project management experience and demonstrated ability to develop multiple processes from the ground up concurrently and iteratively improve the processes to enable scale and efficiency.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring others.
  • Experience leading a geographically dispersed team that covers global credit and collections operations.
  • Advanced ability to navigate large data sets and the ability to turn data into actionable narratives for change.
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP systems. Workday Financials a plus!
  • Experience with other Credit and Collections cloud-based 3rd party systems and ticketing tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Revenue Accounting, Business Operations, Sales, and other business leads to design, implement, and refine credit and collections policies for multiple revenue and payment streams, including ads, partnerships, payment processors, and consumer products.
  • Implement tools and solutions (1st and/or 3rd party) to enable a highly automated, scaled, and risk-balanced credit and risk management process.
  • Manage the processing of customer credit, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead the global AR and Collections team and related workflows to ensure an efficient and cohesive operational model that allows us to meet and exceed critical KPIs.
  • Lead the Dispute Management function and drive SLA performance and efficient processes to ensure disputed invoices are cleared for collection.
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate customer credit records, using ERP systems such as Workday and other systems.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams during the negotiation phase of large deals with a focus on minimizing DSO.
  • Develop, design, and lead the process for customer inquiries and customer monitoring related to credit and collections, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Develop and refine all credit and collections metrics and strategies to ensure best in class performance.
  • Perform detailed tracking and analysis of credit and cash collections and collaborate with internal accounting teams to ensure proper treatment under US GAAP.
  • Support monthly accounting close activities as needed with a focus on presenting KPI and SLA performance and strategic efforts to improve such metrics.
  • Independently identify process gaps and drive projects to simplify and automate manual workflows.
