Requirements

  • Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and/or the Lead Craftworker
  • Performs investigative examination of repairs
  • Makes appropriate corrections/repairs within their ability or makes referrals to the appropriate Operations Supervisor or Hospitality Center
  • Sets priorities and handles multiple projects or assignments and meets completion schedules within established time frames
  • Complete assigned service work-orders, and preventive maintenance using the department work order system
  • Uses various hand tools and testing instruments to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Reports appropriate corrections/repairs and makes referrals to the appropriate Operations Supervisor, Lead Craftworker, Hospitality Center or specialty shops
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Document all pertinent data, work time, and supplies used in the departments workorder system daily
  • Signs in/out and is financially responsible for radios, keys, and other medical center equipment assigned in order to perform duties
  • Communicates with customers in a positive manner
  • Makes contact on a routine basis and works closely with Operation Supervisors to improve customer service
  • Assist with troubleshooting and collaborative projects with the goal of improving efficiency, skill and department responsiveness
  • Performs such tasks as assigned by the Operations Supervisor or designee
  • Performs preventive maintenance as assigned
  • Expected to train in various skills of other crafts
  • Accountable for tools and equipment
  • Performs related maintenance and departmental tasks as required
  • Observes safety regulations and practices as required by codes and CSMC policies
